Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.
Again!!

Still feeling a bit under the weather today. David Benetti of the San Franciso Examinier came in after the gallery closed to take Pat to dinner, Pat took her time finishing things up and pulling out a few pieces of art she knew David would appreciate. He gushed over one Monochromatic Peter Tolens, "old gold", he endearingly called it, like it was his Cadillac. Then he preceded to ask me if I liked it. I panicked and said, "no". I was stairing at Tolens all day while, yes sticking addresses to mailers. Hi I am 18 again and lack the skill for anything other than carefully attaching labels to postcards. I am an intern at a gallery and I wanna be an artist when I grow up!
But the best, because I think it shocked me way more than I shocked Mr Benetti, I asked Richard Lodwig about color theory, because he creates these color fields and sells lots of them. He said he didn't use one. They are "interpretational" color scheems. Wow! Okay! You mean you just like them so you and put them together. uh-huh!
But why would I like them?
