So mid week, I finally have a decent cup of coffee. Something very bad about no good coffee in the house.
Last night was Thai feast, with invited guests and sparkling lemonade. I haven't cooked for friends in my house for a long time, since last year. I cracked myself up with my little dishes, everything chopped and ready. I must remember to READ recipe THEN add ingredients. Oops red curry first! The topics of conversation ranged from the typical get to know you variety to more pressing, "what was your Rose and Thorn today?"
Rose: Alison got me a John Deere mug
Thorn: Bashing my head on the 4 foot high door frame, at the job site.
There were chili peppers to avoid, even in conversation, but the Red Curry vegetables were a hit! (The Pad Thai was laughable, when it says soak noodles for 2 hours, they really mean it!)
Sarah brought delicious orange Gerber daises, such a young rock star showing up with flowers!
The boat builder brought Mochis for desert. They were sensual in a, you-have-powered-sugar-on-your-mouth, here-let-me-get-it-for-you, sort of way.
Thank you for bringing the sparkling lemonade in the "too fancy for one time use" bottle. Now isn't it time we just go out on a date?
