This is what we do now.
We pick up our cell phones, and send mass emails to loved ones. The web of safety has grown, so must my heart. With deepest concern I hope that none of you are hurting and that your families and friends are safe at home.
I am in New York, with my sister.
The city is very quiet tonight, and I know the shock has rang throughout the country. It was sometime today I realized that our country has no common phrase for "go in peace", it is our own blessing for we have rarely needed such a word, until tonight.
May peace be with you.
